Update from Marco's Spirit Night

We had a successful Swenke Spirit Night with Marco’s Pizza. Thank you to everyone who purchased pizza in support of the Swenke PTO. Altogether, we raised $700 - that's a LOT of pizza!

Marco's was very pleased with our strong school spirit - and we look forward to partnering with them again in the future.

Special thanks to Kristen McGullion, our new Spirit Night Coordinator, for all of her efforts in putting this event together!

Individual Yearbook Photo Deadline is December 4

If you have a virtual student or missed both picture days and would like your child's picture in the yearbook, please send an email with your child's name, grade and teacher to yearbook@swenkepto.org. You will receive a personalized link you can use to upload a picture of your student. If you prefer, the yearbook chair can take the picture and upload it for you.

All emails must be received by Friday, December 4 to be included.

Rudolph's Lightshow Fundraiser
Holiday Gift Drive Donations Due by December 4

Swenke is continuing our tradition of providing gifts for less fortunate students at Lieder Elementary (another school in our district) for the holiday season. Each homeroom is collecting cash donations for one child from this school.

If your family chooses to participate in the gift-giving process for this family, please do the following:

  • Discuss with your child the donation process and how this donation will help someone less fortunate during this holiday season.
  • Send in any amount (cash only) that is comfortable for your family to give in a sealed envelope, addressed to your child’s homeroom teacher.
  • All donations are due by December 4.

Once donations are received, a minimum of four gifts will be purchased for the child each homeroom is assisting:

  • Something s/he wants
  • Something s/he needs
  • Something to wear
  • Something to read! ðŸ˜Š

These gifts will then be delivered to Lieder Elementary School. Each year, the families of Lieder have been extremely touched by the generosity of the families at Swenke and have expressed much gratitude for their children being able to experience the holiday season in a way they would not otherwise.

Each homeroom class is doing this on a voluntary basis, so please do not feel any obligation. If you do choose to participate, we sincerely appreciate it and thank you in advance.

PTO Donates Water Bottle Refill Stations

Thanks to your donations and support, the Swenke Elementary PTO was able to purchase two additional water bottle refill stations to help keep our kids and staff as safe as possible. There are now four refill stations throughout the building at Swenke - two from the district and two from the PTO - so every person on campus should have convenient access to drinking water.

Become a Sponsor!

The Swenke Elementary PTO is very grateful for individuals and businesses that would like to sponsor our programs and fundraisers. The generosity and support of our donors and sponsors ensures that our fundraising will continue to be a great success!

*The Swenke Elementary PTO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization so all donations are tax-deductible as allowed by the law.*

Connect Using Remind

Remind is a private mobile messaging platform that aims to help teachers, parents, students and administrators in K–12 schools communicate with everyone at once. Messages are sent in real time to an entire grade, class, small group or a single person.

Get the Remind app here and look for your grade code/s to join your group. You can enable notifications directly from your settings within the app. If you have children in different grades, you can join multiple grade groups.

Did you know that Snow Leopards are endangered? There are only 4,000-6,500 left in the wild. To learn more, visit the World Wildlife Fund - they have a great deal of information about Snow Leopards, their habitat, their threats, their range, interesting news and much more. You can even adopt a Snow Leopard!
