Lieder Elementary Holiday Drive Update

Through the generosity of Swenke families and staff, we were able to donate 67 bags of gifts and 16 bikes for 65 kids at Lieder Elementary in mid-December. Imagine the difference this made for these kids, who would otherwise have nothing under their tree.

This yearly tradition focuses on providing items the kids want and need, such as books, toys, clothing and more. We are very thankful for the generous, giving spirit of our Swenke families and staff. Also, a huge thank you to everyone who shopped, organized, delivered and otherwise supported this effort. â¤ï¸

“At the end of the day it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished… it’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.” ― Denzel Washington

Update from Rudolph's Light Show

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Rudolph's Light Show fundraiser. The amount raised for the Swenke PTO was $294. Funds raised through the variety of events and sales we do throughout the year go to support the staff and students of Swenke Elementary, so every bit counts!

Thanking Our Teachers and Staff

Kisses Carafes were a big hit with our Swenke staff last month! Thank you to the wonderful Swenke Hospitality elves for sharing their ideas, pricing/shopping for supplies, providing extra ribbon, and the physical labor of putting these items together. A big thank you also for all those who have donated money to the Hospitality Committee this year. We appreciate our teachers and staff at Swenke — expressing that is definitely a team effort!

Connect Using Remind

Remind is a private mobile messaging platform that aims to help teachers, parents, students and administrators in K–12 schools communicate with everyone at once. Messages are sent in real time to an entire grade, class, small group or a single person.

Get the Remind app here and look for your grade code/s to join your group. You can enable notifications directly from your settings within the app. If you have children in different grades, you can join multiple grade groups.

Did you know that Snow Leopards are endangered? There are only 4,000-6,500 left in the wild. To learn more, visit the World Wildlife Fund - they have a great deal of information about Snow Leopards, their habitat, their threats, their range, interesting news and much more. You can even adopt a Snow Leopard!
