How to Register Your Volunteer Hours

 

We ❤ our volunteers! Thank you for volunteering to support the Swenke Elementary PTO!

 

All volunteers are encouraged to register as a volunteer in Raptor. This is a one time registration and as long as you check in as a volunteer and your VSoft sticker says “volunteer” your hours will automatically be logged. 

 

Please log any hours spent volunteering, shopping, sharpening pencils or working on items from home, etc., which are all volunteer hours. Below is information on logging your hours in our Raptor Portal and a few reasons why documenting your hours is so important.

 

Reasons for Documenting Volunteer Hours and Donations:

  • It is important to annually report the level of involvement of the CFISD community to the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Trustees.
  • The district will foster a culture of trust by providing accurate, timely, and interactive communication to all stakeholders and by encouraging parents and the community at-large to be involved in our schools.  
    • To fulfill district goal 5(4): Continue to increase parent, community and business involvement opportunities in all schools and throughout the district.
  • Grants and award applications may ask for a reporting of volunteerism.
  • Verification of business volunteers’ participation in volunteer activities is necessary in order to meet their own corporate community goals.
  • Volunteerism is one important indicator of a healthy, supportive community when assessing financial stability of the district.
  • Volunteer hours can be monetarily valued at $24.69 per hour.
  • Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match volunteer hours made by their employees.

 

To Log Volunteer Hours: 

 

Returning Volunteer Portal users can select the link below and sign in.

  1. Log in to Log your service hours here!
  2. Login to the Volunteer Portal. 
  3. Select “Hours” from the top menu.
  4. Click on “Add Hours”.  You can log in weekly or monthly buckets if you volunteer a lot.
  5. Enter required information and click “Save”.
